The Chinese State Circus
4th to 6th February
New Wimbledon Theatre, The Broadway, Wimbledon, London SW19 1QG
Chinese State Circus in London February 2010

The Chinese are well known for their acrobatic ability and dexterity and, as you would imagine, the Chinese State Circus brings together some of the greatest talent China can muster in these respects to create a show that would leave someone used to nothing more than English Big Top acrobatics gaping in awe.  The acrobats in the Chinese State Circus move at a speed, with a dexterity and without any apparent sense of the pain that must be felt to create an acrobatic show that cannot be equalled.

Along with that goes a similarly impressive array of jugglers, contortionists, lion and dragon dancers, singers from the Bejing Opera and Shaolin Wu-Shu warriors with stunts that Hollywood would normally spend thousands of dollars to replicate.  The Chinese State Circus is a show of equal appeal to adults and children and, if you missed the December show or just simply enjoyed it so much you have to see it again, here is your chance.

Travel:  Take the District Line Wimbledon train direct from South Kensington tube station to Wimbledon Station for the short walk along Wimbledon Broadway to the New Wimbledon Theatre.  If there is no Wimbledon train shown, take the District Line from South Kensington to Earls Court and change there for the Wimbledon train, which are more frequent from Earls Court.
