Simon Callow is one of those people you have seen in dozens of films and plays but whose name, for whatever reason, has not been particularly memorable. Being Shakespeare changes that, as Simon Callow brings to life before your eyes some of Shakespeares most memorable characters as well as the bard himself. It's a one man show with added appeal as a prelude to the World Shakespeare Festival, which starts in Stratford upon Avon next month. Ahead of that, Simon Callow is off to tour his one man show in Chicago and New York.

Leo Delibes' enchanting ballet tells the tale of Dr. Coppélius who delves into finding what is at the heart of a woman and builds a mechanlical dol he then aims to bring to life to help him answer some of the questions. When Dr. Coppélius goes out, leaving Coppelia on the balcony, mayhem ensues in the village making for a delightful, family friendly, joyous and witty ballet.

Part of the London Prepares series, which aim to give the organisers of the Summer Olympics in london a chance to road test the facilities, this is a chance for you to see inside the Olympic Park Aquatic Centre ahead of the Olympics themselves from late July. This is an excellent chance, whether you have tickets for the main event or were not successful.

The first major new exhibition of landscape works by David Hockney RA, a multi-talented british artist born in Bradford, Yorkshire and now living in Los Angeles. This exhibition covers a 50 year span to show David Hockney's exploration and fascination with the depiction of landscape. David hockney has worked in a wide variety of media and fields including stage design, photography, print maker and, most recently, exploring the potential of iPad drawings, some of which are included in the exhibition, as are a series of new films produed using 18 cameras. These are displayed on multiple screens to give a fascinating visual jouney through david Hockney's eyes.

Houses of Parliament, Westminster, London SW1A 0AA
Whilst not an event specific to March or event to 2012, this is something worth mentioning to visitors who may have missed details of the opportunity to take a look at the insides of the world famous structure that makes up the Houses of Parkliament and which is also known as the Palace of Westminster. Tours take place on weekends att his time of year and then daily once Parliament goes into Summer recesss. The tours take in the Lords and the Common chambers, the Royal Robing Room, Westminster Hall and the lobbies of the Lords and Commons as well as St. Stephen's Hall. Two new Art and Architecture in Parliament Tours are now also available on specific days - the Houses of Parliament are home to some of the nation's greatest works of art.

Following a hugely successful world premiere last year, the full length ballet written by Christopher Wheeldon for the Royal Ballet is the highlight of this year's season at London's Royal Opera House. The ballet brings to life Lewis Carroll's wonderful tale and all of its imaginative characters in ballet. The score, the first new, full length ballet score written for the Royal ballet for 20 years, is by Joby Talbot and is conducted by Barry Wordsworth. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland brings a wonderful chance to see the creative skills of one of the world's premiere ballet companies.

Celebrating the best in British post-war art and design, British Design 1948-2012 looks at developments from the time of the last London Olympics in 1948 (the so called "Austerity Games") through to the current time and the events to be staged this year. The exhibition brings together of 300 objects representing significant steps forward in art or design in the fields of fashion, ceramics, graphics, photography, sculpture, product design, architecture, furniture and fine art.
