From ballet to hip hop to ballroom dancing, dancing has probably never had quite such universal appeal as it has right now – largely as a consequence of the immense popularity of the BBC series ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. So, it is appropriate that Erin Boag from Strictly Come Dancing is the new face of Move It for 2010. This exhibition of dance has around 250 dance classes you can take part in along with performances by around 1,500 dancers in total from groups as different as the New English Contemporary Ballet Company and London Swing Dance Society.
Basically, whatever form of dance attracts you, you will find it here at Move It 2010 and it does not matter if you are a total newbie – the classes aim to cover everything from beginners to professionals with classes on how to prepare well for an audition, diet and much more. Disneyland Paris talent scouts are attending with their eyes out for promising new talent for the theme park so bring your dancing shoes along and who knows where the following months may take you.
Travel: Take the District Line from South Kensington two stops to Earls Court and change for the Olympia train (just one stop) going from the same platform. Trains run about every 20 minutes. Alternatively, it is about a 10 minute walk from the Warwick Road exist of Earls Court station along Warwick Road to High Street Kensington and Olympia.
