The always popular BBC Proms season comes to an end with the jolities of the Last Night of the Proms in the Royal Albert Hall. In recent years, that event has been accompanied by a live event in Hyde Park. This years Proms in the Park features performances by the pop princess Kylie Minogue as well as opera group Il Divo whilst, of course, including a live broadcast of the main event in the Royal Albert Hall, giving you the chance to sing along to the traditional 'Jerusalem', 'Land of Hope and Glory' and more. The London 2012 Paralympic Games have welcomed the most athletes ever and have been the best attended ever by spectators. The achievements of the Paralympians have been aclaimed worldwide. The Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics and the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympics have set a standard that the Closing Ceremony of the Paralympics is sure to match. This is an emotional moment for many as it marks not only the end of the 30th Olympiad but the end of four years of the U.K. Cultural Olympiad. The ceremony, with the title "Festival of Flame" will feature the band Coldplay and much more as well as, of course, the parade of the Paralympians and the hand over of the games to Rio de Janeiro.
Travel: There are many ways to reach the stadium, with much improved transport links. We recommend consulting the Transport for London Journey Planner to get the best advice for your journey on the day.

Coinciding with the last weekend of the Paralympics, this annual event is one of the largest and best free outdoor arts festivals intended to celebrate London and it's famous river, which has been a major feature this year in both The Queen's Dimaond Jubilee and in the London 2012 events and festivities. A huge range fo events take place over the 2 days - something for every taste - and we really recommend following the link above to see the full list. The finale is the Night Carnival on Sunday evening. A procession including lanterns, costumes and floats will make its way along the Embankment ahead of an amazing fireworks display.
