Six Nations Rugby:  England v. Wales & England v. Ireland
6th and 27th February 2010
Twickenham Stadium, Twickenham, London TW1 1DZ
Six Nations Rugby London February 2010

The month sees two of the early major clashes of the new Six Nations Rugby tournament at the main London’s home of rugby football: Twickenham Stadium in south west London.  At the first, on 6th February, England meets Wales, who have shown good form in beating Argentina quite easily last November whilst England only just managed to do the same.

An away game in Rome follows against an also promising Italian side and this is then followed by the third round with England facing reigning champions, Ireland.  Who the occupant of the role of coach for the England team is in some doubt at the time of writing, so it remains to be seen whether a new coach will have pulled the England team back into full form after the debacle last Autumn.  We do know that the Ireland team has been putting on a strong performance – firstly against Australia and then against South Africa – so both matches are likely to be thoroughly enjoyable contests between the important teams.

Travel:  Take the District or Circled Line tube from South Kensington to Embankment and change for the Bakeloo line to Waterloo to take an overground train from  Waterloo to Twickenham Station.  The Stadium is a brisk 15 minute walk from there or a relatively inexpensive taxi ride.
